I strongly assume it's authentic based on hardware details and leather, looks like a late 90s design. Superfakes weren't really a thing then and the $50 street vendor fakes wouldn't have this level of detail.

In addition: the authentication code was just printed on a small internal tag, not stamped on metal or chipped like today, so it could have easily gotten rubbed off or torn out.

@steveclark1969 no problem. Small correction: late 80s or early 90s... I just did some digging for fun, Sothebys has some very similar pieces listed and my mom had a wallet in this style when I was a kid. I love that bag, it's super pretty!
