MCM Mod Server Mid Century Lucite Food Chiller Space Age Atomic Era Dome Acrylic

One of several complementary Smoky Lucite Servers listed in my closet. This Mod Double Food Server / Chiller is Mid Century Minimalism at its best. Sleek Space Age / Atomic design with rectangular base and rounded top finished with a silver knob. Translucent Smoke-Gray Lucite—the rounded bottoms of the divided, opaque White insert seem to hover in space. Great example of form meets function—fill the rectangular base with ice and the foods placed in the divided white insert remain chilled! Ideal for fruit, crudités, ice cream / sorbet, chilled soups like gazpacho, etc). Designer / maker unknown, but likely Guzzini, Thermalene (dome-a-lene), Eagle or Tasty Temp. Separates into three parts for easy cleaning. SIZE: Measures 12 3/4” long by 9 1/4” deep by 8 1/4” high. CONDITION: Overall smooth without any chips or cracks and presents beautiful, but does have some minor surface scratches and discoloration in the interior of the white insert consistent with age and use.
