Vintage Large 100% Cashmere Carson Pirie Scott Women’s Coat Tailored by Rencroft

Own a piece of history with this beautiful royal blue, 100% cashmere over coat from Carson Pirie Scott, tailored by Rencroft. It is notable that Carson Pirie Scott is no longer in existence, which to me, means it is more collectible. The lining of the coat is a satiny finish and is in excellent condition, as are the pockets on either side of the coat. Three large, ornately designed buttons grace the front. The collar is rounded. The back of the coat has decorative seams running down from the back of the collar; please examine the photos! The tag at the top says “Carson Pirie Scott” while the tag on the inside right liner says, 100% Cashmere Tailored by Rencroft”. There is no size tag, but the approximate measurements are noted in the photographs. I would say this coat seems like a size large. *When my husband saw this coat he said he thought it looked like something a young Audrey Hepburn would wear. As this is a vintage coat, there are a couple spots that I would be remiss not to mention- There is a very slight discoloration towards the bottom right side of the coat, along with a couple areas that have a mar in the fabric. Please see the photos for up close images of those areas. They do not jump to the eye easily-It is more visible when critically examining the coat from a close up position. Overall, this a quite lovely coat in excellent condition for its age.
