Vtg MIE UK9 Dr Martens Metallic Silver Leather Astronaut Boots 70s 80s

These vintage boots have the old “Dr Martens” screen printed hang tags, used before “airwair”. They are a gorgeous shimmery metallic silver foil finished leather in a style similar to a 1460 Pascal, but with 7-holes. The thick silver leather has some scratches and creases that give them character. The ripple soles have some wear as shown, but still have most of the tread intact. These boots are made with a compression welt with vertical white welt stitching. The leather was cleaned with saddle soap and then conditioned inside and out and the laces were replaced with vintage style black cotton laces. From what I can gather, the “Dr Martens” hangtag was used when DMs were manufactured in the Tredair factory in England from the mid 1970s through late 1980s, This is a very unique, true vintage pair of Docs in very good condition.
