                Absolutely gorgeous.
This is a 1950's Oiran Geisha doll made in Japan. The doll is handmade and has a provenance of ownership history available. It represents Japanese culture and is a collectible item. Family piece, brought back from Japan in the 50's by my husband's grandfather. The glass is over 50 years old.
Original box and glass. There is a small defect in the lower corner, as shown in the picture. The Doll holds a dagger, wears traditional geta, and has elaborate pins in her hair (real). Most of the Geisha dolls of this age will not be wearing the geta.
The box will need to be disassembled to ship. It's very easy to reassemble, as there are no fasteners. I'll provide complete instructions, labeling and a video. I'm also willing to speak directly with the buyer. The box and the glass are very delicate. It's a stunning piece. If you'd like more pictures, please just ask.
