Own a piece of iconic 70's fashion history with this authentic Chessa Davis piece! Actress-turned-designer Chessa Davis' boho skirts were a sensation in the 1970s, drawing rich and famous customers such as Princess Grace, Mary Tyler Moore, and First Lady Betty Ford. Her pieces were known for their high-quality fabrics and construction. Here wer have a maxi, a-line hostess skirt with a cinched elastic waist. The body of the skirt is a high quality jet black velvet and the front has quilted patch work that is oh-so-chessa-davis. But the luxe designer piece doesn't stop there....the interior is lined with a lace trimmed white muslin slip liner inside, too. The interior hem of the outer skirt and inner slip lining are also finished with lace trim...because, why not?! The original labels inside read, "Chessa Davis" and note the fabrication as "100% cotton" and the origin as "made in California USA". There is no sizing but it fit our small and medium models very well. Detailed measurements below.
Condition: Great vintage condition! There is one loose stitch at the waistline. It doesn't harm the construction at all, but we like to mention anything condition wise that we can spot. No stains or damage to the lace.
