Ambrose Dudley did this original work as well, but it does look very much like other works that he has done that I have confirmed, and it was in the same group of prints with others that he did, so I'm pretty sure that his is a Dudley work, although I do not have confirmation of that. Removed from "Aunt Charlotte's Stories of Bible History for Young Disciples" Victorian hard cover book Actual original, antique paper item, and not a reprint. The print is on smoother, slightly glossy finish paper. Very nice for framing or placing into page protectors and added to collections. Measures approx. 6.5" x 7.25" Naturally aged, very good condition I carefully prepare all of my book plate prints for shipping by first trimming any edges that are ragged or not fully straight, and then placing them against a piece of non toxic foam board, or corrugated cardboard, and then covering them clear plastic wrap, like Saran or Glad Wrap, to keep the print firmly against the board and protected and THEN placed in a ziplock bag for further protection. Larger prints and/or multiple prints are sometimes shipped in tube mailers.
