Hi. 38 is probably closer to 7.5. I looked up conversion chart and it claims 39 is size 8.

@bbmisha thanks. I am reading everywhere that Chanel shoes often run full size smaller but guessing with then being used they probably got wider. Afraid they won’t fit not sure if I should take the risk..still considering. Thanks!
