*I personally purchased this bag at Sak's Fifth Avenue, in Beverly Hills, CA in 1986. *In the 1980s–1990s, Louis Vuitton allowed a few U.S. companies (like the Doniger Group and French Company) to manufacture under license in the United States. *These bags are authentic Louis Vuitton but not produced in France. *They often have slightly different hardware, zippers, and linings, but the monogram canvas is genuine LV. *Because they were limited to that period, these U.S.-made LV bags are considered vintage and rare. *Some collectors prefer “Made in France,” but others specifically look for the French Company/USA pieces because they represent a unique part of LV history. *The. condition of this bag is excellent for vintage, rarely used. Some small scuff marks, slight patina on leather handles. *Measurements: 21” long, 14”height, 10” wide.
