Back story: recently recovered in a box of cast off “costume” jewelry. Original owner recalls it was purchased at Steinbecks in New York sometime in the 70’s. Still in original box so obviously treated with care❤️🫶🏻

@sheltalynn Hi! Thanks for checking in! I am taking it to a jeweler tomorrow to pop open the back and check the battery. I’ll update the listing with more information. I’ve also thought about getting a LegitApp authentication so I offer it at a better price. Honestly, a bit out of my league on this as I don’t have deep knowledge about vintage luxury items. 🫣

@rubyvrm9 Both jewelers I checked out locally wanted a flat fee to unseal, check battery and reseal and that not ensure that additional charges might be incurred, depending on what it looked like inside.

@sheltalynn One told me verbally that it was authentic but wanted to charge for written verification and the other sends watches off for authentication (i.e. Gucci) which can take weeks. The owner is in her 80’s and doesn’t want to put more money into the watch. I suggested lowering the price and selling “as is” which she was okay with. I know it’s hard to make an investment based on limited information. I am just trying to be a good broker for her❤️
