RARE Pre-1982 Louis Vuitton Chantilly GM – Durable Vuittonite Lining – Single Owner Since 1990 – Project Piece. Early-production Louis Vuitton Chantilly GM in iconic Monogram canvas. This is a true vintage "Pre-Date Code" era piece (circa 1978–1981). This bag features the highly sought-after reddish-brown Vuittonite lining and diamond-patterned interior pocket. This specific lining material is completely dry and clean. This bag is a fantastic candidate for a simple restoration. It has a few flaws, and mechanical issues common for its age. Strap: Approximately half of the Vachetta leather crossbody strap is missing. The original side tabs and buckle are present. Buckle Attachment: The front leather buckle strap has detached from the body. The canvas at the mounting point is not shredded; it is a clean hardware separation.
