Three vintage schoolgirl books written by Angela Brazil. Brazil was one of the first British writers of "modern schoolgirls' stories" written from the characters' point of view and intended for entertainment rather than moral instruction. In the first half of the 20th century, she wrote and published nearly 50 books of girls' fiction. Blackie & Sons sold 3 million copies of her works. Mostly boarding school based, some of her books were actually banned and even burned by boarding schools that did not agree with her portrayal of independent minded young girls.
