Incredible piece of British history β this late 1800s velvet equestrian riding hat was handmade by Lock & Co. Hatters of St. Jamesβs Street, London, one of the oldest hatmakers in the world (est. 1676). This stunning Victorian-era helmet is covered in a rich chocolate velvet, finished with a grosgrain bow at the back and a soft, rounded silhouette with traditional riding cap structure.
The interior bears the original Lock & Co. satin label and quilted lining, with expected wear consistent with age, including light fraying and staining inside. An exceptional antique fashion or equestrian display piece β perfect for collectors, museums, theater costuming, or historical reenactments.

@evitlo Hi. I think so. Itβs narrow to grab on the head. Iβm a little bigger and it almost goes on my head. Thank you!
