There is also scuffs on the soles and on the inner side of the heel of the right shoe. Price reflects flaws. Very sturdy and well made. Material is genuine suade leather. Since the peeling is isolated to the specific inner areas of the shoes it could be dealt with by scrubbing it off with a stiff bristled brush, but they could easily be worn as is, as this flaw is not visible during wear.
