I've never seen an adult women's medium say 10-12, but this is definitely NOT a child's cardigan, they don't even make kids' clothing. I do see some confusion in other PM listings, but this is a women's medium. Thick and cozy cape-style cardigan, and that one button is stunning! A lesser person may remove it and keep it and replace it with a plain button from her collection, but that definitely never crossed my mind.
