If I had the slightest chill I would get sick and stay sick for months. I found using herbs helped build my immune system back up. You might look into it to see if it would help you. 🙏

@tracigonzalez My cousin is a therapist and says to take those little waxed paper cups and freeze water in them. Peel away the top edge and you can use it to apply the ice directly while using the cup to hold onto if that makes sense. If you can get an air cast, it’s super helpful! 🙏

@dafox thank you! Shared back. Dr said just rest & ice. He says it’s not uncommon for a professional athlete to be out of commission for 7 to 8 weeks with an ankle sprain so I should expect at least that or longer. Boo.
He Prescribed 800 mg ibuprofen & a cream. Thanks for the suggestion about the little cups! I’ll try it! 🥰

@tracigonzalez I tore my ankle up so bad I didn’t recover for a year. I had X-rays but no scan and I’m pretty sure I tore things. If getting around is hard, google “air cast”. I think Amazon has them for $16. It helped me get around much better.

@tracigonzalez As you recover, my cousin told me to write the alphabet with my foot. Not literally of course, just move your foot like you are. He works in sports medicine. Please take care. Severe sprains are so painful! Hope the cream helps!

At the time I got my air cast, they weren’t readily available like they are now, but I kept it and have used it other times and so have other family members. It helped me with stability and the pain when moving. I hope it helps you too! Thanks for the shares!! 💕

It’s only snowed in south texas 4 times in my life time (and the flakes melted before they hit the ground half the time) so we shall see what actually happens. But no doubt we are getting a good freeze. The school district already canceled school for tomorrow… lol. We don’t know how to drive & function in cold icy weather. 😵💫🫣

@dafox I remember that freeze of 1989! It stayed below freezing for like a week straight! All the citrus trees were killed and those poor citrus growers had to replant with new trees and it took about 5 years for them to start producing at the same levels again. It was tough.

I had measured them in June for a potential buyer who did not purchase them and apparently after I measured them, I didn’t put them back where they belong. Ugh ! Oh, well, I suppose they’ll turn up eventually. Hopefully the sales continue for both of us with no more issues!!

The vet gave him a high-powered antibiotic shot and a Cortizone shot and he seems to be quite a bit better today. He also got a B12 shot . He has still slept most of the day, but that’s normal for him ❤️ hopefully tomorrow he’ll be completely back to normal.

A few years ago my retina detached and I lost sight in one eye. That lead to a series of 3 surgeries. I got vision back in the eye but it is limited even with corrective lenses. I’m so scared it might happen to my other eye. I go see my eye surgeon every 6 months for check ups. Be persistent about finding the cause if your issues don’t clear up soon. My ordeal really scared me.
