Elgin America Lite-o-matic Magic Action Cigarette Case In Original Box - circa 1948 - Opening and closing the case triggers the lighter. This is another great example of American ingenuity. Lighter works but needs fuel and a new flint. The case is engraved with the initials RCD. It is in good condition with light signs of age, some small dots of the Rhodium plate have worn off and the silver underneath tarnished. It includes the original outer box and flannel case for storage. There is some light wear on the outer red leather like box. Inside you will find the patent number D-151271. Please see the last image for the details. This patent dates from October 1947. This case is also marked "Elgin American, Made in U.S.A., Magic Action, Lite-O-Matic".
