This is an unused 4-point Star Garnet that is 4-4.59 carats. It is 11 mm long, polished and ready to be set in a piece of jewelry. Star Garnets are rare as they are found in India or Idaho! Some say that these sell between 200-10000 per carat. This is at least 4 carats. I moved the light around to show this is a genuine star garnet as the star will move with the light if it’s genuine. joshuao976 Hate to be the bearer of bad news but your description of this item is wrong. A true 'STAR GARNET' is only found in 2 places in the world, India and Idaho. There are garnets found in Brazil and Russia but they are not 'Star Garnets'. They are not this color, and for sure don't have this pattern on them! Having found some while I lived there years ago, I find your statement to be miss leading and deceptive!
