Lorenz Hutschenreuther Porcelain Penguin & Baby Germany Kunstabteilung figurine. Porcelain figure of an adult penguin and a baby, by the Hutschenreuther Company of Germany, ca 1970, designed by Achtziger (name impressed in porcelain). Measures 5" x 3" x 2 1/4". Depicts an adult penguin, standing tall, wings spread a bit, sheltering a young penguin at its feet. The stamp is green, "Lorenz Hutschenreuther, with logo of walking lion, Germany Kunstabteiling" In perfect condition, no chips or cracks. The photos are taken in bright light, in softer light the colors are more subdued. Hutschenreuther porcelain is known for the high quality of the porcelain, the lovely modeling and casting, and fine painting.
