M. Guillemin & Cie of Paris Pink Silk Short Scarf/ Shawl 50s Vintage Floral

Vintage M. Guillemin & Cie of Paris scarf/shawl from the 50’s according to my research. It is not a traditional square scarf. This is a thicker than normal silky rectangle that’s pink with a floral inset down the middle. The brand tag is hanging on by a few threads. I felt in this case I shouldn’t try to fix it since it’s not my forte. There is one tiny pin mark where the store I bought it from has a safety pin in it. It’s barely noticeable but there’s an image zoomed in. The last picture is up close and the second to last picture is the hole at a distance. Each end has about a 1/2 inch of silk fringe. It’s a garment that is 75+ years old so it has wear but looks really good for its age! Made in France. M. Guillemin & Cie was a Parisian wholesaler active in the mid-20th century, specializing in silks. They started operating in 1930 and were known for supplying ribbons, silks, and velvets, to French couturiers like Hermes, Balenciaga and Christian Dior. This would even be gorgeous framed as art.
