VTG Louis Vuitton Montsouris GM Backpack, in Amazing Condition. Parc Montsouris, the inspiration behind this back pack, is one of the largest green spaces and most popular walking spots in Southern France. Purchased at Louis Vuitton in Tokyo in 1996 by me, its only owner. The Montsouris backpack was reintroduced in 2017, but it was a much different style, and not to my liking. This back pack offers the benefit of the thicker and higher quality vintage canvas, as well as the webbed straps which will never stain or show dirt & wear as the leather straps do. Only the GM style was made with these thicker web straps (for comfort while wearing this larger backpack); the mini and the MM were made with more narrow vachetta straps. Please do not send lowball offers. The right person who understands and appreciates its value will come along. I prefer to keep it (and allow the value to increase) rather than sell it low. I recently had all the exterior vachetta, hardware and drawstring replaced by Louis Vuitton and have the paperwork. Date code was M10916 but that buckle has been replaced with a new one and Louis Vuitton Repair Service does not imprint original date codes of repaired items. Last pic is buckle pre-replacement. Made in France in January 1996. Spacious compartment closes with a drawstring & buckled flap for added security. This unisex backpack has a clean interior with a slip in pocket, and another zippered pocket on the outside, perfect for your phone. Please ask any ?’s!
