Also, I normally wear a 7-7.5 in a shoe but I like an 8 in boots, usually. Do you think these would fit?

Opening is exactly 16". I added a pic to show that. I'm not a shoe/boot guy but my wife said that an 8 should be perfect fit due to wanting a little room since it's a boot.
