Mint Condition Vintage Italian Florentine Hand Pointed Coin Purse/Wallet c. 1972 Approx. dimensions: 3.5” x 3” Vintage Florentine coin purse made in Italy with an exquisite blue, gold and black hand-painted design on soft leather. Shiny gold half-moon kiss-lock closure that operates flawlessly. It is in truly fantastic vintage condition with very little sign of use; appears to have been carefully stored for many years. I acquired this gorgeous little piece of Italian vintage art at an estate sale of a luxury home of an elderly couple in suburban Philadelphia (U.S.). Upon opening it at the sale, I was delighted to see a handwritten scrap of paper tucked inside reading “Florence, Italy 1976.” (I like to think that the world-traveling couple acquired it on a stroll along the bustling shopping streets of Florence and that the woman kept it in her bedside table as a reminder of the joyful excursions of their youth.)
