It is hands down the most horrific medicine out there! That stuff is on the way to being totally banned! Anyway..took cymbalta...blew up like a balloon:( quit taking it...worst withdrawal side effects known to man...but immediately lost all the weight. Crazy how that stuff can alter your system so incredibly much:( poor thing!!"

I triturated down doses for 3 months! Horrible!!! You know it's bad when the Eric brockovich lady is leading a campaign to sue them. Noooooo;("

Thanks for the heads up. Will go to Cymbalta site & be prepared to discuss w my Dr. Has to be alternative or they can start weaning me now if it's going to be bad. I'd rather get it done & over with. Problem is it does seem to help w neuropathy in my legs & feet. I'll learn to live w it.

Yea my doctor made it seem like I was some mutant anomaly...I think that that is just a covering their own butt kinda thing tho:( the worst w/d was anger...we are talking raging anger,hot flashes,blinding headaches,&what I call the brain zappers. Imagine a tuning fork inside your skull that is going bong and buzz and makes you feel like your whole body is humming....and not in a good way:( also black spots thru your vision, ESP when standing up. It's horrible. The brain zappers take about a solid 3-6 months to go away and the headaches haven't stopped yet!;( I was only on it for 3 months b4 I decided to stop. I was at a 30 mg to start than went to 60mg. When I was tapering off from 60, I did 30 mg for 2 weeks, than 20 for 2w,than 15 2w, than...they don't "make" a lower dose?!? I had to buy clear veggie caps and make my own pills😖literally counting the damn devil beads out!!;( I did 10 2w, 8, 5, 3, 1 each for 2 week increments...that should be enough weaning for anyone...nope! The withdrawals were just as bad as if I'd just gone cold turkey...which can kill you by the way...so please don't try that one:( and def know that if you do get off...that you might feel like you are losing your mind, but that you are not losing your mind, like I thought I was:( my husband didn't believe me, nor did my dr:( but I found that website and everything I was feeling, so were those ppl:( funny how they don't put any of that info in their damn commercials!!;( ie, pain hurts....cymbalta can help...yea! Help put you in an early grave or the looney bin:( sigh!! I've got my email posted on my homepage if you ever need it:) good luck!!;) ttys:)"

dobegirl @juliepointer1 It's weird you shld mention the spots in the eyes bc I've seen my eye Dr 3 x's now bc I swear I keep seeing dots & flashes of qwik white streaks. The streaks I see in my peripheral vision. I also feel like I constantly have "eye boogers" but there's nothing in my eyes. I'm forever using Renuze to keep my eyes moisturized by my exams come up normal. Here I thought I was going blind bc my mom has Macular Degeneration. Bet anything it's the meds! They all kno what meds I'm on, they're going to stick together on something like this anyway, swearing it couldn't be. I hve another eye appoint coming up for my same complaint, wait until I approach her with this new information!
