Porcelain Lidded Tea Cup or Trinket Dish Floral Butterfly Gold Accents

Honestly, when I picked this up (I actually have two) I thought... wow what a lovely little trinket dish. I continued to wander up other isles and found a broken teapot with the same design. I assume this is a covered tea cup but honestly, it's a trinket dish in my eyes. It's lovely, stands approximately 2 inches high (without the lid and approximately 3.5 inches high with lid) and approximately 3 1/4 across. It has lovely applied floral details with a golden butterfly and gold outlines and accents. There is an added bonus of a flower on the inside as well! I attempted to translate the makers mark and determined it Japanese but was unable to determine the maker. No chips or cracks, absolutely lovely.
