Extremely RARE pair, of fully labeled, Madame Alexander, black plush, French poodle, "Pierre and Zaza", boudoir dogs, circa late 1940s-1952. This exceptional pair each measure 15" tall, with firmly stuffed black velvet bodies, long lavender taffeta, lined ears with looped yarn tips, topknot, legs and tail, large black plastic eyes with felt eyelids and dark pink (♥ heart shaped ღ) felt noses. He, "Pierre", wears his felt shirt collar, silk pleated bowtie and monocle on a chain. "Zaza" wears a gold studded, pink satin ribbon around her neck, another pink hair ribbon and original flower bouquet. Both have their original Madame Alexander/All Rights Reserved/New York, U.S.A. cloth labels still firmly attached to their bases. Both delightful dogs are in generally good condition with no damages, no fading or stains, no tears or repairs (some wear and thinning of yarn) and no odors as they are from a smoke free home. (loc 52) See them on page 30, "Antique Doll Collector" magazine, Dec. 2018. Other items shown are not included. Please see pictures and feel free to let me know if you have any questions.
