A very rare Ritter & Sullivan Antique Sterling Silver Snake Bangle Bracelet - Estimated to date from the 1900s, snakes are a Victorian symbol representing lovers. Marked Sterling, it has an approximate weight of 21.2 grams. It is relatively heavy and substantial. It is stamped R & S inside a shield for Ritter and Sullivan of Baltimore, MD, known for their Baltimore style Repousse work. This snake is solid metal. Hand hammered textured body representing the scales. It is 3/8 inch (10mm) at the widest point, at the snake's head. It fits wrists up to 7.5 inches.
