Stunning vintage amethyst and diamond ring in 14k gold A large, heart shaped amethyst is crowned by a tiny diamond The amethyst is a rich grape color, with flashes of pink, rosy red, and bluish purple It appears to be natural, with some of the internal texture visible under magnification. The gems are in a raised prong setting to accommodate the depth of the stone Band is stamped 14k and signed P and ©️ (or possibly C O or Q) The split shank of the band has an unusual lattice / braid motif Approximate measurements: Ring weighs just over 4g Amethyst is 1x1 cm at its longest points Size 6 Purchased in the 1970s or 1980s Light surface wear to band visible under magnification, consistent with age Amethyst appears to be in good condition with very light wear visible when highly magnified Has been gently polished, but would shine more after a thorough cleaning.
