chelseainmke @cosmicmaterial from their website their vegan leather is “100% plant-based proteins and bio-PU.” So they use plant oils to make polyurethane, which is polymer made into plastic.

cosmicmaterial @chelseainmke it may have small or even trace amounts for binding but vegan leather is preferred over animal leather for ethical reasons, as it avoids animal cruelty and exploitation, and for significant environmental benefits, including reduced greenhouse gas emissions, land use, water consumption, and pollution from the intensive farming and toxic chemical tanning processes inherent in traditional leather production.
