One of a kind Shenandoah Style Redware Lidded Pot.
Hand thrown and painted redware lidded pot is slip and sponge decorated in copper and manganese on a rich yellow background. It has apparent crackle and a rich manganese glaze. Lid has a rich copper hue—the copper in the paint turns green when fired in the kiln. Aged and distressed finish. All redware pieces have a clear (lead free) crackle glaze and are kiln fired to 1900 degrees.
All pieces are unique and one of a kind with slight variations signed and dated.
Approximately 4 1/2” tall x 5” diameter. Hand wash and dry.
Wooden bowl in photos is not included.
