nancyjean @robinadi They are East African currency made into a spoon! I have a 1948 and a 1952 1 Shilling. The coinage has been obsolete since the member colonies (Kenya, Uganda and British Somaliland) obtained independence in the early 1960s. The series ran from 1948 - 1952. They have Kilimanjaro in the background with a male lion in the forefront. The backside says SEXTVS - REX GEORGIVS and has the profile of King George. The handles are ivory I believe. I have several pieces monogrammed - mostly with "D", but I'll check. Going to get all the Sterling together and will tag you as soon as I get it posted.

nancyjean @robinadi I have a lot of monogrammed silver. Most of the utensils are a "d", but I also have sterling napkin rings, monogrammed, that would make beautiful bracelets. If you are interested I'll make another listing.

nancyjean @robinadi Unfortunately all the sterling utensils are "D". I have two stainless steel "ANA" that are pretty cool! The silver napkin ring are old and they are monogrammed with an "M", an "O" and the third is very ornate - not sure about it. I can post photos tmw - tonight I'm too busy.

nancyjean @robinadi Sorry! The monogrammed are silver plated, not sterling, and stainless steel. All D's. I have five pieces that are sterling but not monogrammed. Your last message mentioned the Rolex spoons. No sure what you're interested in!! The bottom picture shows the sterling plus I have a small fork and butter knife sterling as well.

nancyjean @robinadi This has been so hard to put on a price! Silver is currently $30 an ounce. The soup spoons are being sold on eBay for $50 - $94 a piece. The Rolex are being sf for approximately $30 - $40 depending on silver plate. Make me an offer - I know you're turning it into beautiful jewelry but I don't know if its economical for you to purchase at the above referred to prices! I need $$ for my sons wedding and rather a quick sale than an ongoing auction on eBay!! Name your price!!!
