Lol!! I have a friend that takes jewelry & collectibles under consignment(which is why I have it,he'd asked me to try listing it on here to gauge the response) as far as positively testing it, it would need to be tested using the Knoop indention testing principle, however, neither he nor I have the equipment in which to do so:@ I will tell you that it is scratch retardant & hasn't lost any of the stones luster under normal circumstances, wearing, cleaning, etc. (normally cz will scratch easily(meaning the cz stone being scratched & NOT the cz scratching say glass & cz is known for losing luster after a few wearings & cleanings) for comparison purposes, I have a pair of moissanite earrings that came directly from moissanite & co and this ring puts my earrings to shame, lol!!! So best guess, yes on moissanite, but I wouldn't be betting the farm nor could I give it a 100% yes without the knoop test, to fully answer your question. leahmrutledge Moissanite can easily be tested for.authenticity by simply using a diamond probe. It will probe as a diamond on a old tester but noisy alkyl probes manufactured after 2006 include a setting for moissanite

dianahamister Agreed. You should go to a jeweler and get it tested. Doubtful it's moissanite. Went through this fiasco with a gold ring. Took 3 weeks to get my money back. This is your responsibility to find out. It's unfortunate you don't know what it is. Could be worth that or more depending on the type of diamond simulant.
