I wanted to show all of the different tags that the trapeze slips have and explain the differences that I have noticed. All of the newer tags will have that pink dot with the size on them. All others, are older with the exception of the metal tags. Metal tags usually indicate Store Exclusives. You can see the difference in fit between the older tags and new. Length is different as well as the straps. I definitely prefer the fit of the older slips.

danileslie There are other trapeze slips with the "newer" tag that still fit and feel like the older ones. I think any made 2014 or before, have that same fit and quality! Over the years, they have been getting shorter. If you are looking for one of the newer styles, I recommend sizing up for length!

megeliza11 I think I do need some older ones! My new xs fit well but maybe a little short. My new S is a good length but is really like loose and "billowy" lol in the arm holes, chest, and back! Fine for layering tho..

danileslie @charimm I know which one you are talking about. It's Blue Combo. 😉That's the name that FP used. There isn't a Cornflower blue, that I know of. I have never seen that on any tag. There is a newer version called Denim but the lace is blue.

happymeals @danileslie @charimm yes there is a cornflower blue. I think I may have sold one a long time ago. Wish I knew people collected these because I donated about 15 of them! I didn't see it in her collection photos. This was my fav color I had 2 of them lol. It was part of the second release of slips. The three fist colors were navy/lilac (wasn't called that then) and ivory. They were kinda a test run and then released two new colors the pink with coral dots and the cornflower blue.

happymeals @danileslie @charimm The ice blue super rare was a wholesale color only. Wholesale means it is sold to specialty boutiques only but is also available to FP.com with limited supplies which is why that color is so hard to find. The pink was phased out and cornflower stuck around for a longgggggg time. No movement in colors happened until about 2012 when people were begging for a black.

happymeals @danileslie @charimm I'd say after that is when colors just started coming out left and right. They were supposed to be a short thing. Some of the district managers didn't even want them in their stores. Haha, isn't that funny? But these are the non- store shoppers favorite piece next to the cuff thermals. danileslie Was there any in the beginning that didn't have the dots? I saw a listing on eBay several years back that was a mix between Storm and a green color. The lace was almost a teal but it didn't have any dots on it. It was already sold before I got to it but I messaged the seller and she swore up and down that she purchased it from FP website. I thought maybe the color was off but it seemed to have decent lighting. It's completely different from why I have seen and it had the older tag. Thoughts?

danileslie @happymeals I know they use the samples for the photos on thermals, too! So neat! But it can be a pain when comparing to the stock photos, though. 😉 Thank you! I didn't think so! I couldn't find ANY evidence or anything that supported the no dots. Lol I can cross that mystery off my list! It's nice to have someone that knows more! I bought my first trapeze a year after my son was born and I have been hooked ever since. 💜

happymeals @danileslie yes! not to mention the shape and length as I'm sure you know are different. The older ones hang straight now and are cut more asymmetrical and much longer on the sides where as the new ones are more stiff and have almost a curved hem both in the sense that the sides curve out rather hang straight down and also the actual hem itself. Not as dramatic a cut!

I feel like that collection is the worst of them! 😳 I am very impressed with the new florals this year, though! They are cut much better than the years prior. I'm so glad because they are stunning! sinceretrace This post is amazing! I knew the older ones were preferred but not why. I hate how short the newer ones are! Is the lace better on the originals? I have 2 pink dot tag slips (older color combos from 2013-14 I think) that it has become an issue on. I'm good with needle and thread so it's nbd to me. Were they just handled/washed too roughly by the poshers I bought them from?

danileslie @sinceretrace Yes! They used different lace and fabric! The older ones have a much silkier feel if that makes sense. They feel like butter! The newer ones are just not the same. I've had to size up on the newer ones for length. I just wish they would stop cutting corners with these! I haven't purchased as many of the newer colors/prints because I know I will be disappointed with the cut and fabric! This years new florals are much better, though! I definitely recommend those if you like floral! 💜

danileslie @sophiaaleccia I would suggest a small. Especially if you want to wear as a dress instead of a Tunic. You will appreciate the extra length. You would probably be fine an xsmall if it has an older tag. They run bigger. I have another post showing what those look like. 😉💜I'm starting to look for more smalls now just because I prefer the length. ☺️
