Feminine, demure, delightfully romantic. Gorgeous vintage Grecian goddess style nightdress by Extacee (a division of Vanity Fair) - "lingerie for the youthful silhouette".
Silky-soft sheer yellow nylon w/ a gathered tulle bodice. The midriff section has the same dainty ruching. I love the pretty sectioning detail + 2 different tie levels. The curling satin ribbon is the icing on the cake! Photo 10 shows a 1949 print ad.
Photos 13 & 14 show minor wear - a
cluster of three marks near left hip as well as two lighter ones up and to the left (left in the photo, right when wearing). These are not very noticeable and I have not tried cleaning.
The right side strap needs to be resewn on in front. There is a small area along the tulle seam in back where a few stitches came undone - I did not even notice it when photographing. This appears to be an easy fix with a sewing machine. The label is hanging by a single long thread. Otherwise, this piece is in excellent vintage condition.
