liledeglace I'm trying to sell my copy of othello bc it was a very traumatizing read and we were forced to in English class and watch a stupid movie adaption. I've read monster and the lion witch and wardrobe. do you recommend the restorative justice book? can you disclose any and all damages before I buy and lmk what each book is about? I also do not need a streetcar named desire. forced to read that in high school.

jayfoe @liledeglace I know for a fact cop in the hood, just mercy, chokehold and restorative justice are in excellent condition. The others like monster is definitely distressed and I’d have to look at the others.

jayfoe @liledeglace Just Mercy is a coming of age story about a young lawyer named Bryan Stevenson was a young lawyer who found the Equal Justice Initiative, a legal practice dedicated to defending those most desperate and in need: the poor, the wrongly condemned, and women and children trapped in the farthest reaches of our criminal justice system. One of his first cases was that of Walter McMillian, a young man who was sentenced to death row for a murder he insisted he didn’t commit.

jayfoe @liledeglace Chokehold by Paul Butler isn’t a racist. He is a former federal prosecutor who tells the ins and outs of how the judicial system and America keeps a vice grip hold around black men’s necks. He tells everything from how shady the judges and prosecutors are and to how the police are.

jayfoe @liledeglace Breaking the Cycle is basically about how at just six year’s old the author eboni Wilson had to roam the streets to feed himself and fend for himself. The book stands up into his teenage and early 20s yrs I believe. Be advised there are some sexual scenes in here. I can’t recall how many because I read this book years ago.

jayfoe @liledeglace Cop on the hood From the class room as a professor to a cop in Baltimore the author Peter Moskos tells us through his eyes what it was like being a police officer in Baltimore’s crime infested eastern district.

jayfoe @liledeglace Lion Witch and the wardrobe is a fantasy book. It’s about four siblings walking into a wardrobe door into the land of narnia where they go on a adventure.

jayfoe @liledeglace The crucible is Henry Miller's play about the Puritan New England witch hunts of Salem and the 1953 Communist witch hunts. The anthem is about a young man known as Equality. He rebels by doing secret scientific research. When his activity is discovered, he flees into the wilderness with the girl he loves. Together they plan to establish a new society based on rediscovered individualism.

jayfoe @liledeglace In restorative justice the author Zehr proposes workable principles and practices for making Restorative Justice possible. Restorative Justice emphasizes identifying the justice needs of everyone involved in a crime. It is a worldwide movement of growing influence that is helping victims and communities heal, while holding criminals accountable for their actions.

jayfoe @liledeglace upon checking the only books that have no damage are no mercy, cop in the hood and restorative justice. The other books are really old and they have writing in them that I didn’t realize. Chokehold I used like a yr or two ago for college and I forgot I highlighted and put small notes on some of the pages. The book is in excellent condition but it’s the high listing and writing that makes it blemished.

liledeglace @jayfoe was pygmalion a good read? I was always interested in that one. np. yeah, about the highlights, I am not extremely picky about that because I have a lot of books like that that just need to move. you've priced them each at $5 so it is a steep discount already. really interested in restorative justice because they talked about that concept in my masters program. I don't that I want chokehold either. what is it about?
May 21Reply
liledeglace
liledeglace i dont think* that i want that chokehold one either until I get a sense of what it's about. whoa. excuse the autocorrect.
