Vintage Czech Victorian Revival Brooch-Pendant with Green Uranium Glass Rhinestones – Circa 1940s–1950s
The piece features an ornate brass filigree frame with Rococo-inspired scrolling and delicate pierced work. At its center is an oval-cut green glass stone, surrounded by numerous peridot-colored uranium glass rhinestones.
Under UV light, several of these smaller stones, (the three teardrop shaped stones see picture) glow a bright neon green, a hallmark of authentic uranium glass from this era.
The brooch is fitted with a rollover safety clasp and a hidden bail, allowing it to be worn as either a brooch or a pendant. This versatile design was common in mid-century Czech costume jewelry intended for export.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with light age-appropriate patina, secure stones although one is missing at the 3pm mark, pictured , and fully functional clasp. Very charming with the bottom piece dangling, reticulated.
