Vintage Kotobuki Japan Cast Iron Jizo Buddha Statue 4" San Francisco Label

Striking vintage cast iron Jizō statue made in Japan and imported by Kotobuki, San Francisco. Jizō Bosatsu (Ksitigarbha) is a beloved bodhisattva in Japanese Buddhism, known as protector of children, travelers, and the departed. Statue measures about 4 inches tall and weighs approximately 1lb. 4oz. Aged to a deep green/black patina, it retains the original Kotobuki label on the base. An authentic piece for collectors of Buddhist art, Japanese décor, or vintage Kotobuki imports. Please note: Photos were taken in different lighting conditions. In natural sunlight, the green patina is more visible appearing lighter, while under indoor lighting the statue presents the darker tone.
