There is some dry peeling as seen in the photos, but not at all sticky. I put in bills/my passport, cards, and when I took my stuff out there wasn’t any flaking or transfer onto my items. If it starts to get worse as you use it, you could just rub the remainder of the flaky lining off and continue to use the wallet, as it’s only on the one side of the inside pockets.
