Vintage Pope Gosser Gold Wheat Key Pattern Covered Oval Vegetable Bowl

This charming piece of Pope Gosser china was produced either in the 1920s or 40s, according to the style of the back stamp. Oval-shaped covered vegetable bowl with gold rim, Greek key-like and wheat/floral pattern. It measures approximately 12" long, handle-to handle (9.75" without handles) x 6.5" x 4.75" tall, including lid handle (3" without). There is significant plate wear, especially to the handles. A hairline scratch/crack under the lid handle (photo nine); some glaze imperfections (tiny bumps) from manufacture (photo 10), tiny chip under lid (photo 12), a manufacturing defect/bump inside rim of bowl, which is not shown; gold color runoff on bottom rim and side (last two photos). There is no crazing, but a smattering of tiny scratches/light abrasions, which are barely noticeable. Overall, in good condition for its age.
