Argentina Inca Rose Pink Good Grade Banded Rhodochrosite is mined in Capillitas Mining District Andalgalá Department Argentina Rhodochrosite is a manganese carbonate mineral. Its name comes from Greek meaning pink coloured, Johann Friedrich Ludwig Hausmann named it in 1813. The banded Rhodochrosite is mined in Argentina at the Capillitas and Catamarca deposits. Rhodochrosite is not a hard mineral and must be handled with care. Please no salt, soaking or washing with harsh chemicals, just use washing up liquid in lukewarm water.
