This vintage WWII 46th Infantry Regiment 1st Platoon Engineer Branch khaki Garrison Cap belonged to an uncle who served in the Army during World War II. The 46th Infantry participated in the Normandy Invasion & the Liberation of France as seen in the docuseries Band of Brothers. He was part of the Engineer Corp. (as designated by the red/white piping) This collectible cap reflects the historical significance of the era and represents the sacrifice and effort of the soldiers who served in the Army during this tumultuous time in history. As he had no children to pass it on to it is time to make it part of someone's collection that appreciates military history. It is dated July 28, 1942, on its tag and is a size 7 1/8.
