My friend got this dress at a flea market in Italy. I believe this dress dates back to the late 50s to early 60s. Home sewn mid-weight cotton in a charming lattice pattern. Color way is orange, yellow, sienna and burnt umber. Close up, the print resembles squeegee marks. The lattice pattern is very flattering. Fit and flare cut features square neck, fitted bodice, subtle V back, back zipper closure, full skirt. I am wearing a crinoline in the photos, but the dress’s mid-century silhouette would still be noticeable and just as flattering without one. This dress makes me think of Roman Holiday.
