New to posh & still learning the ropes . I love my new found friends on here! I live in Seattle.I am a stay at home mom to a 21 yr old Son, 20 yr old Daughter & 2 boxers. sisterhearts @dairyberrys I think it makes a difference because lifestyle and weather Are a big deal here. I was born here, but have lived in Montana (too low key ) Hawaii (love, but not good for kids ) Fl & SC (live weather @ beach, gate bugs and schools) I live our outdoors lifestyle, green everywhere , and great communities . You just get used to weather, dress for it and go out anyway. If you have any issues with SAD or weather affects your mood , I wouldn't advise. We have awesome suburbs and living downtown is awesome. You won't be bored :) did that help?

sisterhearts @dairyberrys I live w/in walking distance to the UW in a neighborhood called Ravenna. My neighborhood , Maple Leaf , Wedgewood all good. And all walkable. I am 10 min or less from downtown /25 by bus and, gulp, walked ONCE in an hour & a half. Lots of bicycles , joggers, parks, dog parks, dog walkers, kayaking etc... I don't know about the schools here , my kids are 20/21 and went to east side ( east of lake Wa) but I see lots if kids in my hood, I could ask for you :)

piecesofjen @sisterhearts I just have to chime in and say you are one of my new favourite people on here as well! You're just a lovely and fun person. It comes across in your words and the sentiment of your postings! You are just so sweet! Also, thanks for inspiring me to get my closet together! I'm a single mom and I have my son (who is 8) basically 100% of the time. However, he just left to go visit his Dad in Seattle (ironically,) so I will have ten days to cry or Posh! So I decided to just start taking pics and will live up to my promise to post more to my closet! At least this way I won't be moping around the house having a pity party for my self because I miss my son! I do have to ask, do you have a system that works for you? Do you have a room that you dedicate to it? It looks like you take most of your photos in the same area. Just curious because have been meaning to set some sort of staging area up! And I just saw your post on here @kelly32068 Your so sweet! Thanks to both of you! And any advice either of you have would be appreciated! I think we should turn the title of this post into "Jennifer's 411!"

sisterhearts @piecesofjen Thanks, you are too sweet :) First of all, since your boy is in Seattle, I offer up my spying services if ever needed :p As far as my "set up," I have tried a bunch of different things. I have found it's easier to have everything in a central location. I like the lighting in my Liv room better , but don't like dragging everything upstairs and having a clutter where everyone can see. I am lucky enough to have a huge bathroom/closet downstairs, like the size of a big bedroom. It has two closets, fits my shoe racks andI have a few extra racks for all of my clothes. My boyfriend uses the 3rd floor bathroom, so I can have my stuff all over and he doesn't care. I take pics in the bathroom/closet area. Down in the basement, I also have the laundry, my desk and my shipping supplies. I don't really have anything separated as right now I am just selling the stuff I own and don't wear or want. I am educating myself on brands etc...and watch for certain stuff on sale etc and might start buying to sell. I don't work, so I have lots of extra time. But being organized is key. And, as I am sure @kelly32068 will tell you, networking (which you are doing very well), sharing, parties are great ways to sell things. Hope this helps :)

piecesofjen @sisterhearts Oh my gosh, you just made me cry. You're such a sweetheart. And thank you so much for all the information you provided me. I have the same problem at the moment. My staging area is in the bedroom upstairs that I don't use, but the lighting is poor, so I find myself dragging everything downstairs to my bedroom or the living room and then I risk things getting touched or moved or "investigated" by my 8 yr old (Especially when we have play dates!) Therefore, I have decided to use a large room above my garage that was intended to be a guest house of sorts and turn that into my poshmark room/artist studio/music jam session area, etc. It has great light and I just purchased a few metal rolling racks for my clothing. I am looking for a shoe rack at the moment. I couldn't help but notice the enormous amount of shoes you have. And that means I need to connect you with another one of my favourite poshers @carenlovesgucci ! She has an amazing closet Jennifer. It's well organized and absolutely stunning. She has a shoe collection to die for. Not only that, she's also wickedly funny and extremely OCD about her clothing and shoes. Anything you buy from her is in pristine condition. I think you would get a kick out of her personality. She's funny as heck, well traveled (and collects pieces on her travels, which we sometimes get to benefit from,) fun, interesting and that has the perfect amount of diva in her! Thank you so much for your advice and I promise to take pictures of the room when I finish it. You have been so helpful to me. I have been lucky to find several wonderful women on poshmark that makes me feel like it's a true community! I might take you up in your spying offer! Hah! When my son leaves it's as if my heart has grown wings and flown away. It's difficult to deal with, but definitely getting better at it! As I said previously, my main goal is to style, take pics, edit and list. This should be enough of a distraction for me. So, you have the right to harass me if I don't post at least 20 new items in the next week. Additionally, I think I have to break down and buy the MB shoes. I can't take it anymore. That's ridiculous, but it's the truth. :)

kelly32068 @sisterhearts and @piecesofjen I think this Posh is some kind of medicine for all kind of ailments lol,, helps some with sons who are away visiting fathers, daughters off to college and some of us going thru medical issue's and needing to pass the time as well😊we all met under different circumstances however Posh came to help each in our own way💗awesome. Great advice on organizing a room for Posh, that's what I did as well😊turned one empty bedroom into 1 huge closet, 👍 turned out great for me as we r empty nesters so I can use it as one big closet for myself and hubby has the bedroom closet to himself. Maybe we should exchange email address's I would love to keep in touch with u two, and Jennifer I will try to keep you smiling as much as possible however I am not a good joke teller so will have to go a different route, lol😊 keep up the sharing girls 💗🌺 cause " sharing is caring" also gets things sold, hehe😃😃 see ya at the parties, I'll be the one with the margarita glass, yummy!!

I am that way with my son, it's gotten better since he's 21, lol...but he is my heart. Totally serious about checking up on you know who for you :) My shoes, yes I love them and the ones you saw in the pics aren't the ones I am selling, lol. I am gonna check out @carenlovesgucci , one of my friends manages the Gucci in Aspen, or some other ski town, lol, it's only temp, he's been working at Gucci in Seattle and hopes its just for 6 months. Also jen, If you break down and buy the MB shoes, let me know first so I can give you a better deal :)

tiatia826 @sisterhearts Holy Nut Job!! Thanks for the head's up, Jennifer! From the way she talks and talks in general, and from her apparent inconsistency with responding and then going off on tangents, I would guess that she has some sort of mental illness or something. Also, sometimes her spelling is perfect, and other times it's totally whack (ie. spelling capris as like cappilons or something like that, but then in her next listing its spelled capris). A way, thanks so much for the warning. Going to block her to avoid potential drama. Kinda feel sorry for her, because unlike other true scammers I've seen on here, she seems like she's totally off her rocker. :( That ring thing was way cray!! You must have been like, wha...? Lol!

konalisa Hi Jennifer! I have to tell you that your Boxers are gorgeous! I look at them & I get that stinging sensation in my nose & my eyes start to tear...they look just like my babies... Well mostly the top one. He/She looks just like my sweet Roxy girl...we lost her Exactly 4 months ago to the day. We lost our boy Remy exactly 13 months ago... Just a few days after xmas. They were littermates. They were the loves of my life! Are yours littermates? You left some very kind words in my closet only a couple of weeks ago & I never responded & I'm so sorry. I saw it & wanted to respond but just kept forgetting as my life has been so crazy lately. Please tell me about your puppers! How old are they? What are their names? I don't know why I never put pictures of my babies in my closet... I see that sooo many people do that! I think maybe I should. We also have a rescue that we got about 4 months after Remy passed away. He is a white boxer & his name is Logan, he is 4 1/2 yrs old. He is an absolute sweetheart. The only reason we got him was because we thought our little girl was depressed. Her & Remy had never been apart a single day in their entire lives! We thought she needed a companion! We realized that it was her health that was also deteriorating & she was diagnosed with 2 things on 2 separate occasions throughout the remainder of her time with us so we're not sure but we think it's good that she had Logan. I don't want to keep rambling on & on about myself & my sad story & jeeze the tears are already flowing... I haven't talked about it for so long... 😪 sorry! Hope you don't think I'm too weird. BTW you have a really great closet! 😚🐾🐾🐶🐶

When I fell ill & had to have surgery. Then was rushed to ER a couple weeks ago & found out I have elevated liver enzymes, etc.. I'm still hurting, go back to my upper GI Specialist next Monday. But I's be lost without these Ladies above. I do apologize for the book. I look forward to Poshing with you when I get better & can stay on longer like I use to! Thanks for listening. Sherry
