@mamamoonchild We have much in common it seems. I miss my Dad's farm. I grew up with lots of different farm birds, also pheasants & quail. I love creating gardens everywhere with lots of plants! I used to make my own clothes...when I was a teen...Especially Halloween costumes!

@zev4u_lexx_luvr What a lively/lovely place to grow up. Growing flowers and food is medicine for the soul. I have found it also is a great way of building confidence in ones abilities. Our yard was filled with weeds and a ton of gravel and now it is a little blip of paradise in an urban landscape. I'm pretty proud of it :)
Do you still sew? Also, Your hair color is amazing :) I so want purple and pink hair but I'm afraid of bleach!

@zev4u_lexx_luvr I've got some distant winter mountain views but I'm in the downtown area of a bustling little city. Luckily our property is a triple city lot so looking out at my yard is magical. (Raspberries, blueberries, fig trees, elderberry, irises, tulips, tiger lillies, strawberries, potatoes, garlic, tomatoes, kale, romaine, peas, spinach...) But outside of that is pavement & traffic. It's a pretty cool town though so I really love it.

@mamamoonchild Geez! A cute baby opossum? Blechy! LOL My dad had problems w/a kinds of animals eating our birds! I remember an owl would attack them at night once it ripped a duck's head off & left the body for me to find in a short shed. Duck was too heavy or it tried to get away. Double Blech!

@nyc_apple Good Morning! Thanks for the sweet compliment 💗 We have 3 chickens and for the most part they provide enough for the 3 of us. I buy eggs probably once every 6 weeks. And in the winter more so, they have egg laying cycles that are light/age dependent. They are very loved but like all animals they need care and cleaning. So I feel good about teaching my daughter food responsibility but every now and then (mostly in the winter) I grumble about cleaning chicken poop.

And we have a possum that prowls so keeping locked up and opening in the morning is inconvenient for travel. But! Even with all that, I can't imagine not having them.
