@ravenstorm12 Please also take a look at the sign in my closet that says scam alert and read on that. The easiest way to get started is just to take some photos of whatever it is you want to sell ( it doesn’t have to be grand, just clear plain shots), just to get the hang of it. Try listing 2 or 3 things in the next couple days.

Even though you don’t have anything listed right now, you can start practicing by going to any closet and just sharing some items. When you do list something, people will share back. That’s how you make your sales. For instance if you list something, share something from my closet, I will then share your item to my 50k followers. Bam your item was just exposed to 50k people.

@ravenstorm12 You see how some items says boutique? Once you make 10 successful sales, you will get access to the wholesale portal, and will be able to purchase packs of clothing and jewelry for resale.

@ravenstorm12 Go to my closet and pick any item. Hold down on it for a few seconds and something should pop up that says share. Press share to your followers. Never share someone else’s items to a party. My news feed will tell me when you shared my item.

@ravenstorm12 If you have anymore questions, I absolutely would love to help. I’m sure you have something in your closet that you don’t wear anymore. A pair of shoes, a top, a purse. Just take a picture and press sell. It will be a fill in the blank type deal asking what size is your item and things like that. Once you start, you are not going to want to stop😊

@mommy387 😊 how would I let you know in your feed what I shared (it was the really cute gray hoodie dress).....very true I am sure I can find something in my closet I'll have to get to looking lol.......I've also handstitched purses and pouches in the past and thought about getting back into that.....

@ravenstorm12 You don’t have to let me know what you shared. Whatever you share, shows up in that person’s news feed. Yes handmade items do typically well. I will check back from time to time to see what you list, and share for you.

@csclids9880 You have great merchandise. The only thing I would say is to try and take most of your pictures in natural sunlight ( I know that is not always possible in the middle of winter.) The lighting for your shoes are perfect. It just makes your items stand out a bit more.

78% of the way to Ambassador status, I’d love to get your opinion on my closet! The hold up for me is that I’m only just over a thousand self and community shares - otherwise all the other criteria is met. I feel I am doing fairly well but I’d love to improve!! Thank you 😊

@lola_vay You have a very cute closet. Just continue to share (randomly sharing from the feed for about 10 minutes a Day is a good way to do that). Make sure you are sharing your own closet 3x daily as well.

@blvd_princess You are supposed to share to your followers to expose their items to Your audience. An item can only be shared to a party once. So let’s say you share my things to a party, and I come back and then share to the party an hour later, well now I’m wasting my time and shares, because I thought you shared to your followers.

@kiranek So far you are off to a good start. The gold dress that you sold should be a model for how most of your listings should look. You had several pictures which included the tag, which is perfect. Everything looks fine, except on some of the listings there should be more photos. Also if you are a little more specific with your titles, people can find it better in the search engine. Instead of “women’s dress” try “white floral dress” or something similar.

@blvd_princess I have been noticing that over the last few days. That is something new Poshmark has just started. I’m not sure how people are doing that. I’m even wondering if something is wrong with the system because I got an offer on someone’s follow game. So I’m not sure what’s up with that.

@kee7283 Hello. I just wanted to give a bit of advice. You may want to change the title in your listings to be more descriptive, so that way people using the search bar can find your items, thus more sales. So instead of just “bag” try something like “Liz Claiborne Cream tote” or something similar. Same with your other listings.

@candii0971 Your closet is very nice. You have clear pictures with several angles and very detailed searchable titles. Just be sure your are sharing your items 3 different times of the day and sharing to parties that are relevant to your items. You have the recipe for a successful closet, so just make sure you are sharing. 😊😘

I really just wanted to sell a couple of items when I started, but then I realized HOW MUCH my mom had accumulated through the years. And I love the Poshmark community! I'm a former educator... the "each one, teach one" environment is right up my alley! Lol So, I'm starting to look at this more as a business. Thank you so much for your time and advice! 😘
