I have 4 "fur children." I volunteer in animal rescue & foster special needs pups. The pics here are of MY fur kids. The 1st is Emma (pitbull/bulldog mix), who has 2 legs. 2nd is Mikey (my baby), a Chow mix. 3rd is Jesse, Pit/Great Dane/Catahoula mix. 4th is Stanley, a Chinese Crested Family website Www.Facebook.com/EverythingEmmaDog I never let the dogs wear my clothes (although Emma tries) so don't worry, lol! If you see a stray hair, I apologize. I try to make sure that doesn't happen.

closetenvy2 @ublookn They are so spoiled, especially Emma. She's a major daddy's girl! Mikey is a pathetic dog that pretty much shadows my every move and cries if I don't hold his 75 lb butt. He once ate a hole through the wall to try to get to me while I was in the bathroom. But he's still my baby! :) Autocorrect has almost ruined my life, lol!

dreamadj Oh my God my mom was the only person here were I live that actually rescues and finds home for animals I currently am fostering 4. I have two that I have permanently adopted. People are so mean to animals here. They are on the streets everywhere. I pick them up when I can we have a place called train rescue here they take them in n find them foster homes. They even check backgrounds and the homes. My mom and I got that started. My mom worked for a vet when we were little. Now her health isn't good and I am barely making it so it hard to keep the food for them. My yorki is actually a rescue it was 5weeks old he is 3 now. He's my baby. Love him. I love animals.

closetenvy2 @dreamadj That's awesome! I'm with a rescue that takes pics of shelter animals and runs a FB page on them to find homes and rescues. It's quite an undertaking for sure. I prob spend 50 hrs/week on the page alone. It's totally worth it though. Thank u for doing what u do! It's not easy.

dreamadj @mswanson502 no it's not I love animals. They are just another of gods wonderful creation. And we are here to protect them. My mom has 11 dogs and 18 cats. She is something else they shut the shelter down in her home town so people bring them a spud sit them off in her drive way. :) she loves it though but her health scares me.

closetenvy2 @blackcherry7 Thank you! I love every minute of it. I run our local shelter's FB page with some other women and take the animal's pics. I usually only foster paralyzed animals or parvo puppies. I'm not sure what I'd do if it all stopped. I live for chaos, lol

My 2 and half years old fur baby is a maltese mix and he is also a rescue I had adopted last last year. He kisses too much, always hungry, and barks at little kids and big dogs but his so lovable. 😍🐶

closetenvy2 @krissy007 You need to go watch videos of her on her FB when u have time. People are amazed at the things she can do. She cracks me up every day! The day she dies, cuz she's not expected to live long, will kill me! My husband will be on suicide watch, literally. That's his baby. She was just supposed to be a foster dog (and he was mad at me for taking another foster). Within 2 days of her being here, he said, "She can't leave!" Lol

krissy007 @mswanson502 awwww I want to get a dog so bad but I have another cat and she is terrified of dogs even the sight Of one sends her into a frenzy. When we schedule her vet apts we have to schedule it privately hahaha we once took her into Petco for some grooming and a dog walked by and she thrashed violently in her carrier hissing and growling and dedicating everywhere. It was horrible. She can't be near dogs EVER I also adopte her from the mspca bit she was different. She was 3 when we adopted her. No one wanted her because she was just plain nasty. Biting and scratching at the sight of a hand. We took her in hoping to rehabilitate her. After a year she became the sweetest playful cat I've ever seen. ill show you her :)

closetenvy2 @krissy007 I don't have a cat becuz my mom was allergic, and I know nothing about becuz of it. Now I have 3 dogs that would likely eat a cat since they've never been around one. I take that back...I fostered a paralyzed kitten for 3 days. It's a big difference having a 2 lb kitten that doesn't move vs. A full grown cat that jumps everywhere and hisses, lol. Actually, my dogs would probably be scared of it. I know Mikey would. Jesse is the one I worry about. He wants to play rough with everything, and he's 90 lbs. So it wouldn't go well. 😕

closetenvy2 @shorack Thank u so much! That and Posh are my life right now. I actually spend most of my time at the animal shelter taking pics and taking care of Emma, my paralyzed dog. We had another paralyzed dog, but she recently had to be put down because she swallowed a needle and thread, and it basically destroyed her intestines. Due to her age (13) and condition, she wouldn't have survived the surgery. She was a foster dog, but we knew noone would ever adopt her. So we had her cremated so she could stay with us, her forever family. ☺

closetenvy2 @jenmae I once fostered a 230 lb. Great dane. That was a nightmare because our great dane mix kept attacking him and getting his butt kicked. That was a long 5 months! You should Google great dane rescues in your area, including surrounding states. They will sometimes get puppies.

cindystuff My 2nd son is Kevin. He was 7lbs 9ozs at birth but is now 6'4" and about 250lbs. Kevin is 28 yrs. He and his wife have given me two adorable grandkids. Walter-5 and the very sweet Evelyn-8 months. My life is also on the crazy and happy side in spite of kidney failure. I'm on dialysis 4days a weekly and dealing with fibromyalgia and osteo arthritis all over. So that's my life

I also have osteoarthritis all over my body. I have 5 herniated discs and have to take Ultram several times/day, but I'm still kicking. In 2008, I actually donated a kidney to a man I met on LivingDonorsOnline.org. Long story. Are you on the transplant list, and have any family members offered to donate?

closetenvy2 @cindystuff If they won't or can't do that, check out MatchingDonors.com. It's full of people wanting to donate and help. That site charges the donee, but I was told that if you contact the site and tell them why you can't afford it, they'll do it free for you. It really is an awesome site. I did a blog about my donation, from my 1st thought of wanting to donate, to my updates after the surgery. It includes pictures of the donee and his family with me.

He's way healthier than me cuz he got the biggest kidney and the one with no kidney stones, lol. I still pick on him about that. My blog is CallingAllKidneys.blogspot.com. It has lots of useful info about the donation process and what to expect. Btw, some hospitals won't let strangers donate, but Mayo Clinic in Phoenix was totally on board.

closetenvy2 @cindystuff Me donee's insurance paid for my flights, hotel, rental car and even food. I'm sure you know that living donor kidneys last a LOT longer than a cadaver kidney. It's almost easier to find a strange to donate than someone you know, due to these sites. The biggest thing is to send potential donee's pictures of you and your family. The pictures Masud's wife sent me with his kids was the clencher. Anyway, I thought I'd share in case you weren't familiar with these sites. 😊

Your kindness, and empathy for people and animals put so many people to shame for being so mean to animals and all living creatures for that matter. cindystuff My oldest wants to be my donor but I don't want him to do it unless it's a last resort. He is getting ready for a life changing career move. He starts with the academy to become a prison guard Nov 17th. I am very scared for him but that's what he wants to do so I will just encourage him to do his best and BE CAREFUL!!!!!! In Dec I have my first meeting with the transplant approval board to see if I qualify for a transplant. You need to be fairly healthy to be eligible for the procedure.

cindystuff My husband is a salesman that works as an independent contractor. when he's not out selling, he's not making $$. I am lucky though in so many ways. My heart is healthy, I don't have diabetes like so many of the dialysis patients have and I have a husband who loves me very much. We've been married for over 33,He's very good to me and shows how much he loves me all the time. I have healthy children and 5 grandchildren that I adore. Yes, I am a lucky woman!

closetenvy2 @cindystuff Thank you! It's just how I am. I spend at least 50 hrs/week volunteering with our local shel6and help running their FB page and taking pics of the animals. I love it! Even if they put you on the list, you should look for a live donor. Your chances of having to have another transplant later are greatly reduced with a live donor.

closetenvy2 @cindystuff Ask your coordinator about it. Every hospital is different, but my blog will walk the donor through the whole process, so refer them to my blog. Some don't know what they're getting into. It's emotionally exhausting for the donor. It's worth it though. The surgery is usually done laparoscopically now so it's not that bad.

closetenvy2 @cindystuff Don't turn him down. It's a pretty safe procedure for the donor, but you need to look into the morta6rates at your hospital and consider going to Mayo Clinic. You may have to travel, but this is a life or death situation. After my surgery, I was up out if the bed in 15 minutes. I walked to the donee's room 45 minutes after I got to my room.

closetenvy2 @cindystuff Another thing people don't know is that if your son ended up needing a transplant himself, he's automatically moved to the top of the list since he's donated an organ. He may not even match you. I think you need to at least get him tested because the chances of him being a better match is higher. That gives you a better chance of not rejecting it. It all comes down to antibodies. PLEASE don't be scared for him.

closetenvy2 @cindystuff Find the best hospital and go there if you're not comfortable with your coor6or physician. I was only in the hospital for 1.5 days and went shopping 3 days after my surgery. They did it laparoscopically on me but ended up having to also cut me open from my belly button to my c-section scar because my kidney was so large. Even with that, I healed super fast. You'll have a rougher time since you're having surgery sick.

closetenvy2 @cindystuff The chances of your son having any problems are like 2%. He's much more likely to be hit by lightning, lol. Let him make the decision himself after he's informed of what to expect. Then I think you'll be much more comfortable with it. Give him the chance to save your life!

closetenvy2 @cindystuff You're so sweet! I'm a big advocate for donation. Peopl6think kidney donation is still done the hard way where they split you open under your ribs. Very few doctors for that anymore. If that's how your hospital does it, RUN! That greatly increased the donors chances of complications.

closetenvy2 @jeanettew83 Well thank you. I promise you you wouldn't. I mainly have fostered puppies with parts, because no one else will do it. My dog get over vaccinated. Trust me. I'm ready for them to find homes by the time they do, lol. Now Emma and Jesse were fosters. Both were not adoptable in their condition. Jesse was extremely food aggressive. He was going to be euthanized, so we just kept him. He was feral. He has his moments, but who doesn't. I think my 4 teenage sons are feral sometimes. 😉

08turnley I rescue Pit Bulls, foster, transport some... Nothing like helping sentiment beings. My state is one the highest abuse states, it is heartbreaking, so much so I have to take breaks from time to time. I have learned of the disappointing side of rescue. I am not a rescue, but I decided a few years ago as an individual to save Pits and others from Craiglist and Facebook. I have five permanent fur babies...Jake, Moses, Zoey, Diesel and Jerry.

We moved 9 months ago, from Louisiana to TX, and I am really sick, so I had to give up rescue after 7 years. It's so hard. I had to stop looking at FB. Thank you! Emma is awesome!! She's hilarious!!

08turnley @closetenvy2 I find in NC people are unwilling to look at the truth. Out of sight, out of mind. My state is losing very last of existing Red Wolves and no one knows, nor wants to know. They will be extinct in the wild in a few short years. Only 43 left, they have started on their own to cross spieces to survive... They are mating with Coyotes. It is really sad. I'll make a listing so you can see some of fosters, check them out. Proud momma.

When we moved to Texas last year, I had to stop fostering because we live in a HOA, and 3 is the limit. However, I frequently pick up strays and find the owners. Pets are awesome!!

closetenvy2 @lakeforest I understand. I can't remember if I told you, but when I got really sick, I started "seeing" things, spirits. It's given me a lot of insight on what happens after death. I'm no longer scared of it. It's not something I ever believed in because I was raised in a strict Christian household. It's hard to dismiss when it's in your face nightly though. That's a rabbit hole that never ends, lol.

lakeforest Oh man I could go on & on about my appetite like yours! The chemo drugs have given me a chronic metallic taste and I can’t taste anything plus most times no appetite anyway. My weight has been down again for awhile. On Thanksgiving day, we went to one of our good friend’s and I couldn’t eat anything! On Friday I suddenly wanted everything to eat but could only manage a couple bites of stuffing & mashed potatoes. Yesterday it was nothing but a piece of pumpkin pie 🥧

closetenvy2 @langel02 I'm so sorry to hear about your baby. It's very hard. We've lost 2 paralyzed babies. Now we have 3 seniors. Mikey has torn both back ACLs and is in a lot of pain. He's not a surgical candidate. So, I don't think he has a lot of time left. It's heartbreaking. Emma is doing great though!
