I've been a posh mentor and seller for a awhile now, and get asked for advice all the time, so I thought I would share some of my top tips! alyssw12 i n t e r a c t + Share listings, comment on listings, participate in all the fun Poshmark has to offer. 1. There are 3 parties everyday, a place for you to share your listings as well as hunt for items for yourself! Share and congratulate the host picks that were chosen! You can find them by clicking into the party, then scrolling to the right until you find the host pick showroom. These are items specifically chosen by the party hosts, they get the spotlight for the night!

alyssw12 2. Many people have follow games to help increase their and your followers, these are a great thing to participate in! 3. Participate in share groups. These are groups that share a specific theme (like NWT items or shoes etc) from every closet that signed up. You go through the list and share the required listings according to the share group theme. If you'd like to be directed to some, let me know! I can hook you up 😉

alyssw12 c o v e r s h o t s + This one is very important! The covershot is the first thing people see and will be the deciding factor in whether or not they open up that listing. 1. Use natural lighting, people love a bright, clean photo! Natural light is the best way to accomplish this. Light filters are okay, but you don't want to go crazy as you want the item to be true to color

alyssw12 2. Have a nice clean background and add a few props if you'd like! Don't overdo it! Make sure the customers know what is being sold from the first photo. Nobody likes clutter! 3. If you are using a stock photo, make sure to also include photos of the actual item! People want to see what they are buying, and we all know stock photos are not always accurate.

alyssw12 4. Model your items if you can. Now is your chance to be a fashion model! (C'mon, I'm not the only little girl who had that dream, right?) Don't just throw it on either, STYLE it! People want to see how the items fits and ideas for how to wear it.

alyssw12 c l o s e t i t e m s + first and most important, make sure your items are posh COMPLIANT. No counterfeit items, no men's or children's clothing, no nail polish or curling irons or gels or wraps... You can find the full list under your profile (button the far right) "support center" (very bottom) "community guidelines)

alyssw12 + in your descriptions include things like measurements and fabric content. These are the two things people ask for the most and it is really helpful to both of you to already have them up! Also include any flaws, big or small, and it is encouraged to include an idea on how to style the item!

alyssw12 f o r b u y e r s! + first of all, THANK YOU! We are all grateful to you who shop our closets! That being said, when you receive your item, PLEASE leave a rating as well as a little comment. These greatly help those who are selling! The only ratings other poshers can see are the ones with a comment on them, so it really helps if you leave a comment! Even if it's small!

alyssw12 + when rating your item, be honest, but if there was nothing wrong and you were happy with the product purchased, please leave a 5 star! We sellers get an average rating and it can be frustrating to lose a star due to packaging being ripped in transit or something else that was not the sellers fault.

alyssw12 + funds are not released until you accept the item in the app.This is an income for a lot of sellers, so please accept the item as soon as you've looked it over (carefully - don't rush it in case you miss something! ;) + look over your items carefully, and TRY THEM ON before accepting. Sometimes you can totally miss a flaw until you try it on or measurements in the description could have been incorrect, these are reasons to file a claim and return the item for a full refund!

alyssw12 @laprincessenana I am so sorry I am just now seeing this!!! I feel terrible. You have some great items in your closet. What I would suggest is doing single photos, you get to add up to 8! Rather than doing a collage. The first photo is what people see first and you want to make a good first impression! I usually “stage” my photos to make them more attractive - create an outfit or add a few other props.

alyssw12 @karendv2 hi! I apologize for my late response. When you hit “share” you should see a list of users and a search icon. You can hit search and then type in the name of the closer you want to share to! That should work :)

beansprout1455 Make sure the items are clean and don’t smell musty like they’ve been sitting in a hamper for 20 years. I recently purchased 5 blazers from 5 different sellers and 4 of them had a musty odor. And these sellers are Poshmark Ambassadors. Thanks for all your tips ! 🌷🌷🌷🌷
