Hi! I'm Shiela with Amihan Artisans LLC. Some of you probably have met me already through my first closet @ex_globetrotter. I decided to open a social enterprise closet to help communities in need through shopping. Proceeds of this closet go to charity efforts in the Philippines. We also funded 3 SEED (School for Experiential & Entrepreneurial Development) Scholars, graduating this May. 🙏🏽 I am a hat lady too as you can see! Thanks for visiting & happy poshing! 💗💐👒🎉

A friend from grade school found me on Fb, apparently I embroidered a Beatles scene on her Levi's, she saved them, omg so so many decades!! Lol!! and passed them to her daughter! Thanked me! cececonisa P.S. Since you're a hat person (as am I!), I'd love to ask your insight on a matter. I've recently purchased a lovely sun/garden hat (about a lil over a week ago, last Wed). I believe it's vintage but it's in great condition/quality... My question is, the seller has yet to ship it but while I inquired about it (prior to purchase), she expressed that she had no idea how she would ship it properly so not to damage it....

amihan_artisans @cececonisa Hi Cass! It's nice to meet another hat lady too! 🙋🏻👒 Shipping them in the US is the easy part. Getting them here is another story, sometimes the bigger hats gets squished. But, steaming & reshaping restores them to their original shape. Is your seller new? She can use regular priority mail/clean box that the hat fits into & use tissue to stuff the center & air pillows to protect the rest. I hoard them when I get online orders.

amihan_artisans @cececonisa It's good you bought in posh because USPS charges more for shipping if the dimensions are more than 70" total, if you ship via post office. I just have them picked up from home, scanned w/ no questions asked. I hope this helps your seller 'speed' up shipping. amihan_artisans @cececonisa P.S. I hope your seller is not one of those who accept the offer/sale but has no intention of shipping. I've had sellers cancel on me w/o an explanation. As long as I get my refund, I just move on. 😉 If I find anything that I wasn't able to put in the description during shipping, I let the buyer know. She can then decide to go ahead with shipping or cancel. More often than not they're ok with it.

The seller's name is Angela and her closet is called: shop_0_holic — not sure I should tag but if you'd like to have a glance at the item I purchased: "Gorgeous Sun Hat-Classic Beach Wear", search the name of her closet. Her about section reads that she is based in Metairie, LA.

cececonisa Yet under her 'Meet The Posher', she discloses more and reveals her daughter is in the top 3% of students w/in the entire state of MS... 🤔 so, it's not very clear. Either way she's definitely not international and the dimensions of this hat wouldn't even exceed 20" (probably closer to 16" in diameter based on the dimensions she's given re: circumference).

cececonisa Anyway, she's been Poshing since Aug 2014 and has quite a generous following (with love notes as well), so I wouldn't describe her as a new seller. Actually she's known to be a fast seller from the looks of things. So you can imagine my disappointment. After inquiring here with you, I commented on the hat listing mentioning a card board box should suffice.

cececonisa Your suggestion to use a priority mail/clean box makes absolute sense. Easy breeze... and I'm what I'd call a new seller — just started listing items a couple months ago. I do love that you have your things picked up at home, makes it so much easier to manage larger demands (plus two closets 😁😉🛍✨). My hubby does a lot of eBay/Amazon business so we happen to hoard all kinds of shapes and sizes too 📦📦📦😆😁

I went to see Angela's closet and with all that's going on now, I hope she gets to ship your hat. If she intended to in the first place. It doesn't seem to be as delicate as the ones I sell so being in an appropriately sized box won't be an issue.

Posh post is great, the post office staff always tell me I overpaid but I tell them that it's a flat rate for us and they're amazed that it's only $5.99 up to 5lbs. 👍🏼

cececonisa Either way, her intentions are being revealed. She's managed to ship someone a pair of sneakers which they received July 5 or 6th (love notes verified it) and she appears to be conducting business as usual; adding/updating listing throughout this entire time. Everyone's going through something these days. Everyone. So this is pure negligence on her part. I definitely won't tag her here, I agree with you.

Hubby & I visited the American Cemetery the last time we were in Manila and it is a very serene place. I think that is the only really quiet public place I can find in Manila. I'm grateful for the sacrifice of US servicemen so my homeland can be free. 🙏🏼
