tamoore That is such a great opportunity! I'm currently a stay at home mom with our 2mo and we talked about foster care but I never got the chance to talk to someone who actually does it! So if you don't mind me asking how old were your kids when you started and what kind of things did you have to do to start out?/is there anything you wish you knew going into it?? *Curious* lol thanks!

jaymoon @tamoore well started in January this year! We had 60 hours of training an some classes and lot of reading! Home study and they check house an fire marshal had to come an CPR class an first aid it was a long process! You do get paid for your 60 hours which we did not know so that was a great suprise lol You can't prepare yourself for it all!!! My kids are 1,3,7 and they really were open to this all! Ask away I love I try an get ppl to be open to foster

jaymoon @tamoore one thing to is they will tell you that kids are use to eating poorly like junk. They say to "wing" them but I do not agree!!! As a foster parent you are the parent fill in an to teach them how life is! I had my kids come into our home we had mcdonalds first night... After that sorry about ur luck kids we don't eat like that. I say teach them you get "junk" AFTER they eat the way thy should. Like after dinner you can have a cookie stuff like that! And guess what they do it an still love me lol Also I wish I would have reached out before hand to churches that donate stuff like that to help towards clothes an food because the system took WAAAY to long to help and the $ they "pay" you is to take care of the kids takes over a month to come! We have had these kids almost 2 months an have only received $60 lol that does not feed a cat hardly lol and they jUST now are gonna take the kids to get clothes ugh so we will make sure to never let it drag out this long like that because the kids were very fast to show up and never expected three ages 2,4,7 on top of our 1,3,7 .... It about done us in but things are getting better thank god 🙏 Now the issues are behavior with the kids. They visit their mom once a week for an hour an they come back here MEAN and won't listen an when I get them back on track it's time they go see mom again and it's been a hard battle with that because I will not allow hitting each other 😢 an it's emotional! Poor kids! Little one wouldn't let go of me yesterday an was cryin so hard she didn't wanna go see her mom 😢💔 but she needs to and it's just tough! Then the parents on drugs most the time (like their mom) make promises and lies about gifts and it's really hard on them an makes ya angry towards their parents for hurting these poor helpless children who are already so broken! It's not for the weak heart to foster but I also think anyone can really do it and learn as ya go !

tamoore Wow! That sounds so awesome to be able to be such a roll in these kiss lives yet not a walk in the park for sure! So do you chose what kids come to love with you? And do you chose how many? And is there any deferent qualifications you have to have to have 2 or 3 opposed to just 1???

jaymoon @tamoore during home study you go over tiny and big details on what you will decide on. We had "room" for three little ones or two larger children. You can decide to accept or not! We chose not to take in (only, won't take) children who would physical hurt or sexual assault our children or me since I'm not that big an it was a teenager. We also don't want to risk our children to big diseases but that's only rare cases anyways. But they will call an give you tiny info, these kids we didn't know a thing about an took time before we found out!

jaymoon @tamoore also we did not agree to 3 children but as soon as they called we couldn't say no and within couple hours they were with us! We signed up for two kids but that day had strings pulled to change license to 3 kids! I recommend on your home study list of choices with kids to say "consider" it (child) because most things and kids should be a case by case, at least in my eyes

jaymoon @pegster67 thank you 💕🙏 Well I use a lot of apps lol like 8 or so! I use facetune, it's for faces but I use it to color in my background! I use polyvore to add cool backgrounds an words. I use ABM it's cute but lot ppl use it on here. I use FrameUrLife for adding posh on sides pics and some wording and some frames. I use to use more of imikimi app it's jut cute fun for personal pics though! I use reflection, stacker, phot.to lab is really neat for personal pictures to! Hope that helps

I don't think of it that way though 😊 I feel like kids are helpless and they don't choose their life and with the bad stuff my husband deals with every single day, I hear about it an sometimes see it and feel like our world has been falling apart and it is because of our children! Well the start of it an if we teach our children better than maybe our future will be a better one! Single handed no one persons can change the world but I hope to set an example for some and have more ppl foster 😊 which I have a neighbor getting ready to start! She just got done with her home study and many ppl ask about it 💃💃💃🎉 makes me so happy to see!!! One annoying thing is ppl don't know and judge! They see me go to store with6 kids an the looks I get or comments I hear ugh ppl are quick to judge! They think iv got 6 kids and they don't all look alike so I MUST have 6 different baby daddy's lol and I MUST be living off the government or my uterus MUST be falling out! Ppl surprise me at the rudeness! It's sad and the kids hear some comments and say stuff like "my dad's in prison" and they look at me even funnier lol I just smile it off!!! 2nd ppl say "what do you do all day?" Ummmm I layout and drink margaritas hahaha I mean really! What else would I be doing but running in circles to please 6 kids and my husband!!! 😊💕 sorry a bit long

Two puked yesterday but I think they over ate again (foster kids which I'm sure you know can do that) besides that okay! I had my ultrasound done an they said my uterus is bigger than normal hahaha weird but they cut an sucked (yuck and ouch) stuff out my cervix so now I have surgery October 1st! They will do "nova sure" and a D&C blah but not a big deal healing so i can still take care of the kids! Tell me about how you an that cutie been 🙏😘

ladydiane4ever Wow! You do have your hands full! My husband was on submarines and gone 7 months out of the year with NO contact at all! It is a struggle! jaymoon @pmgr22 well my oldest is not by my husband, she is from my ex husband who turned into drugs an drinking when his mom died an he turned bad an I gave him time to do that even because his mom but he didn't get better so we left! And my husband now, we married after 3 months of dating and he is 45 I am 30 so they have always looked at me weird and they act like our kids don't exist either! That's what burns me up! But it's there loss! It just makes being around them hard! I am a calm person but idk how much longer I can bite my tongue😳

arigrldesigns On another note - we had the reading of my husband CAT scan a week ago (he went through lymphoma cancer last July) and he is officially in remission for the last 4 months now! 🌟YAYYY!🌟 so that is a big relief! It was a huge scare- he had a gigantic mass the size of a grapefruit in his lower abdomen that I discovered last June😖😢😢😢it's been a crazy whirlwind but he is all back to normal now! Thank God💓💓💓

ksadog22 Only three she says! Lol. I think the shock of going from none to one can be overwhelming! We actually do pretty good most days now, but I truly had no idea what it entailed. The respect I now have for all the women that came before is huge! We are almost ready for a second. I'll have to call you for moral Support 😜 it is so excellent you foster. I was orphaned as a teen and if it weren't for the kindness of people that opened their homes to me and taught me about unconditional love and kindness I don't know where I would be!

Gratitude is where it's at 👍I worked with at risk youth for many years and always had to remind myself that there wasn't a lot of instant gratification, but if I just planted the seed like others had done for me, hopefully some of those seeds would hopefully grow in to beautiful flowers 🌻🌻happy holidays to you and your tribe ⭐️💜

Thank you for the nice comments 💕 posh is very addicting 😍 to co host a party you have to follow all posh rules (trading is NOT against posh rules as many ppl believe) you have to be in good standing with the posh community so be a good posher 💕 also a few tips that seem to help most ppl is to make a listing for new poshers to see rules an tips when they come into your closet, also write poshmark and let them know you are INTReSTeD in Co HoStInG 😊 make sure your closet is pretty with nice Covershots because they will check! It take time after you email them so be patient but once you email them You will be put on a list (long list) to be reviewed 😊💕

jaymoon @anoliver her caseworker has been sick so she's still in a children's home! 😥 and hope to hear tomorrow about when she's coming 💕 I'm betting tomorrow but who knows! Sadly there's so many kids an the caseworkers are so busy that it's always a waiting game! I wish they could tell me sizes 😊 How are you guys!? Work!?

I have to wait in cold for buses 6 times a day and I HATE it lol 6:30am then 6:50 then 7:10am then 12:30 then 3:10 then 3:50! My poor son hates it so much haha!
