oparis @karlyblake Mine is definitely still a work in progress and I've only been actively listing and using. Poshmark for a month now so that means a lot! I'm lucky to be a photographer and have a really nice camera because I'd say the first impression of the cover photos makes a huge difference! The things I've learned to pass on are: 1) lighting is HUGE. Photograph in natural, well-lit areas to show true color and every detail.

oparis @karlyblake 2) Use all photo options! I try to follow this standard on most of mine: front, back, up close fabric detail, tags, and a few pictures of it on- front, back, side, and of course a picture of any flaws no matter how small. When I get lazy and don't post a picture of the clothing on either a stock model image or on myself, 9/10 times I get requests for it to be modeled and I agree because I myself would never buy anything I didn't see modeled.

oparis @karlyblake 3) use up every character you can in the descriptions, I always get requests for measurements so now I've started posting that from the beginning. People also tend to ask how much it's been worn. Be as specific as you can. Sorry that it was a lot and You may already be doing these things but that's what I've found to be the most important. I hope that it helps! 🤗💞😘

karlyblake @oparis Thank you so much!!!! This helps way more than you could know! I have been slowing trying to retake pictures in better lighting for my closet but it's just difficult because I get off work when it's dark and go in really early but I'll have to stop making excuses! When you model your pictures, do you have someone take the picture or do you do it on a timer?

oparis @karlyblake most of the time I have my camera on a tripod with a timer but lately I've been having my husband do it because it's a better focus.

saltedhoney Hey girl! I'm new but I came across your closet early on and LOVE it! Do you have any tips on how you rearrange your closet so easily into different categories (pants, dresses, etc)?

oparis @steph_cast_ yeah! Thank you for the compliment! I’d love to help! (Also read above as I mentioned some of my best tips to another posher!) I saw in your closet you have mostly beauty products though for mine I just would add a category listing every time I accumulated enough listings of that category. I just used a background in an app that lets you add words and then created a listing “not for sale”=$0 to be my header.

oparis @steph_cast_ Also every time I share all items in my closet, I make sure to share them in the same order every time, so that is always organized. I hope that answers your questions! I’m always open for more! Sorry it took so long to get back to you! I had forgotten I still needed to respond! 😘
